9 is just fine!

Tonight I am spotlighting our eldest girl. She is growing by leaps and bounds, not only in her height, with lanky legs thanks to her Daddy's genes, but in maturity, ideas, reading, and creativity. And now the wee one is crying...Wasn't that a lovely post?

...Babe in arms. Let's proceed. Katie Lee has read handful of chapter books ranging from Judy Moody (which needs to be found ASAP because it's being requested at our library right now :-o), some of the American girl books, another American series of some sort, and the latest is about Annie Oakley. She plowed through a whole book today, sharing many facts that I'd never heard before.

To top off the excitement of reading, she got her first pair of reading glasses in today, right in time before her next adventure. She has a very small prescription that normally wouldn't require reading glasses, but we went in because her eyes were hurting after reading. With symptoms, it was a great idea. She may grow out of it. Either way, she was super excited to pick them out last week and absolutely squealed when she went to tell her sisters that we were going to pick them up today!

On Monday my baby girl who is nearly a young lady in so many ways, will be going to Utah to spend almost a week with her Aunt Aimee, Uncle Tyler, and lil' cousins Ace and Piper. What fun! She will remember this trip for years to come. She packed on Monday and she doesn't leave until this coming Monday :-P She meant to pack a little each day, but it was just too irresistible to not do everything. She just needs a new bathing suit since the fabric in hers is being weird and stretched out. Lastly, whatever books she's decided to bring. We got some at DI the other day. LOVE that place lately. I came away with a few books as well! Will post a picture of Katie with her new glasses ASAP.
